What Are CBSE Sample Question Papers?
Sample Question Papers (SQPs) are model papers released by CBSE to give students an understanding of the expected examination format. Students can use them to understand the question-paper structure, different types of questions, sections and question distribution, marks allotted to questions, general instructions, the expected answer-writing approach, and to get examination practice and time-management experience.
The SQPs should be used along with the prescribed CBSE syllabus and curriculum.
What Is a CBSE Marking Scheme?
The Marking Scheme (MS) provides guidance on how marks are awarded for questions in the sample paper. It can help students understand the important points expected in an answer, step-wise marking where applicable, the distribution of marks, key terms and concepts expected in answers, and how descriptive answers may be evaluated.
Students should practise a Sample Question Paper first, then use the marking scheme to self-evaluate their answers.
