NEET Dress Code for Male and Female, Exam Rules, NTA Instructions
NEET Dress Code for Male 2024 allows wearing trousers, slippers, light clothes with half sleeves to the exam centers. Dress Code for NEET 2024 for girls allows them to wear salwar, trousers, slippers, sandals with low heels.

- Candidates wearing a customary/ cultural dress like Turban, Hijab, Burqa have to report at 12:30 PM along with NEET 2024 admit card to ensure proper frisking.
NEET 2024 Admit Card will be issued to the candidates for the exam day. If due to unavoidable medical or other circumstances, you cannot adhere to any of the NEET dress code guidelines, then you need to take special approval from NTA before the release of the admit card.
Candidates must avoid carrying the items barred inside the test centers like Mobile Phones, Bluetooth, Earphones, microphones, pagers, Health bands, metal bands, etc.
NEET Dress Code for Female 2024
A rise in the number of candidates appearing for NEET has been observed every year. This year 23.81 lakh candidates have registered for NEET. Out of these, 57% applicants are female. NEET Dress Code for Female 2024 by NTA is available here for all these candidates to follow on the exam date. In the last few years, there were reports of harrasment faced by female candidates at various test centers. As per the latest NTA guidelines, the frisking of the female candidates will be done only by female staff inside a closed enclosure.

The frisking of female students will be carried in an enclosed place by the female staff only. Based on the past incidents faced by female applicants, it is best to avoid wearing inner wear with any metallic hooks or buttons.

NEET Dress Code For Male 2024
The year 2017 saw many male candidates (along with female candidates) facing a lot of harassment with getting their shirts cut down into half sleeves, and many more. After this, strict NEET dress code for male candidates has been prescribed by the NTA on what all they can wear on the exam day. For all male candidates, NTA recommends that they wear trousers only (jeans not allowed) along with short-sleeved t-shirt.

NEET Dress Code 2024 by NTA: Customary/ Cultural Dress
NTA has approved customary dresses in NEET. Candidates who observe certain religious practices can dress accordingly and they will not be asked to remove it at NEET exam centers as per orders issued by Delhi High Court.

Barred Itmes in NEET 2024 Examiantion
The authority will conduct the compulsory frisking before entering the Examination Centre. Metal Detectors and other modes of frisking will be used. Therefore candidates are advised not to carry the following items to the exam hall.
- Textual material, printed books or written notes
- Cheats or bits of papers, Geometry or Pencil Box, Plastic Pouch
- Calculator, Pen, Scale, Writing Pad, Pen Drives, Eraser, Log Table, Electronic Pen/Scanner, etc.
- Mobile Phone, Bluetooth, Earphones, Microphone, Pager, Health Band, etc.
- Wallet, Goggles, Handbags, Belt, Cap, etc.
- Watch/Wristwatch, Bracelet, Camera, etc.
- Any ornaments/metallic items.
- Any food items opened or packed, water bottle, etc.
- No arrangement will be made at the Centres for keeping the belonging to the candidates.
- If a candidate is wearing a customary clothes then report at the center 2 hours before the exam time.
